Bart Van Den Langenbergh, Prison Director in the high-tech prison of Beveren, in Belgium, discusses the daily challenges faced by prison officers (POs) and the necessary competences expected of them. He emphasizes the importance of providing POs with adequate training and respect. This interview was conducted as part of the PO21 project – European Prison Officers for the 21st Century, during the PO21 Final Conference.
